Mounjaro™ is an injection with a very small needle (like a pinprick) taken weekly. Mounjaro is the brand name of tirzepatide which is a type of drug known as a GLP-1/GIP receptor agonist.

It works by helping the pancreas release a controlled amount of hormones, which slows the rate of food leaving the stomach, leaving you fuller for longer. This helps prevent overeating and hunger pangs. It also alters the way fat is deposited in your body.

Mounjaro can be used for weight control, and blood sugar control in those experiencing diabetes.

Inject 1 dose of Mounjaro once a week (on the same day each week) into the fat of your upper arm, abdomen, or thigh.
