Viagra is a medication used to treat erectile dysfunction. The active ingredient in Viagra is sildenafil. Viagra comes in 25 mg, 50 mg or 100 mg strengths. Viagra works for 4 hours after taking it.
Viagra works by relaxing muscles and increasing blood flow, especially to the penis. This helps in achieving and maintaining an erection when sexually stimulated.
Viagra is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED), which is difficulty in getting or keeping an erection firm enough for sexual activity.
Take Viagra about 30 to 60 minutes before sexual activity, as needed. Swallow the tablet whole with water. Viagra can be taken with or without food, but it may take longer to start working if taken with a high-fat meal. Only take Viagra once per day.
All medications can cause side effects. Some side effects of Viagra may include headache, flushing, upset stomach, muscle aches or dizziness. Rare side effects of Viagra are diarrhea, dizziness and rash.
You should avoid taking Viagra if you are allergic to sildenafil or any ingredient in the tablet, use medications called nitrates (often used for chest pain), take a medication called riociguat, or have had a prior episode of non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION).
There are many companies that are able to provide the service to access Viagra online. Our team at Jack Health will ensure that the right medication is prescribed for your concerns.
About $40-50 for a box of 4 100mg generic tablets and about $50-55 for brand name.
Yes, Viagra is a Schedule I drug in Canada, meaning a prescription is required to purchase it
It is usually not covered by insurance companies. However, every coverage is different and some patients might be able to submit the required information to the insurance company and get coverage. Check with your insurance company if unsure.
Both medications can be used for erectile dysfunction, but they work a little differently. Cialis has a duration of action of 36 hours, while Viagra’s is 12 hours. They are both efficacious and it can’t be stated that one is stronger than the other. Your healthcare provider might decide that one is better than the other for you so you should get a consult to determine which one is more suitable for you.
Cialis and Viagra should not be used together at the same time. However, a patient can alternate the medications. If deciding to alternate, you must wait for at least 24 hours after taking one of the medications and before taking the other.
There are several key differences between Cialis and Viagra. Cialis lasts up to 36 hours, while Viagra lasts about 12 hours. Viagra’s effectiveness can be reduced by high-fat meals; Cialis is less affected by food. Cialis can be taken daily, offering more spontaneity than Viagra which is taken on an as-needed basis. Both Viagra and Cialis typically work within 60 minutes. Each individual is unique and should consult a healthcare provider to determine which is most suitable.
Sildenafil is the generic version of Viagra. Generic medications are known to be equivalent to the brand names. So, the efficacy of Sildenafil and Viagra is the same.
Viagra and Cialis are not FDA-approved for women. In men, Viagra increases blood flow to the penis, improving sexual arousal and response. Women who take it might also have increased blood flow to the genitals, however studies have not shown strong effectiveness in women. Women may also face side effects including flushing, headaches, nausea.
Further research is required to identify if Viagra causes hair growth. Currently, some research suggests that it may help with promoting hair growth by affecting blood flow to hair follicles.
Viagra is only approved to treat erectile dysfunction (ED), not premature ejaculation (PE). Some studies suggest that it might help men with both ED and PE by improving erectile function, however, its effectiveness for PE alone is not well established as lack of blood flow to the penis is not what causes PE. Other treatments, such as behavioral techniques, topical anesthetics, and certain medications like selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), are typically recommended. Always consult a healthcare provider for appropriate treatment options.
