Valuable information and resources are available with your Saxenda® DIN.

What is a DIN?
It is easy to find - it’s the 8-digit drug identification number (DIN) printed on the package. It will be on the receipt your pharmacist gave you.
Health Canada regulations require us to confirm your patient status to access more Saxenda® information.

Saxenda® is an injection with a very small needle (like a pinprick) taken daily. Saxenda is the brand name of liraglutide which is a type of drug known as a GLP-1 receptor agonist.

It works by helping the pancreas release a controlled amount of hormones, which slows the rate of food leaving the stomach, leaving you fuller for longer. This helps prevent overeating and hunger pangs.

Saxenda is used for weight control, by controlling your appetite and slowing the rate that food leaves your stomach.

Inject 1 dose of Saxenda once a day into the fat of your upper arm, abdomen, or thigh.
